The American Dream

The American Dream

For a student born in America and with family there, but raised and educated in the UK, the lure of the all-American university experience was enticing. Big sports stadiums, the marching band, school spirit and big time athletics were what he wanted, alongside first-class academics. With a desire to thus study at the public flagship universities, the student (and his school) had to contend with the Coalition Application for the first time, with its own quirks which required careful handling. With guidance the student was able to secure some top-class offers, eventually choosing to study at the University of Washington.
